Mystery trips themselves aren’t a new invention. People have been surprising partners and loved ones with destinations unknown practically since the idea of leisure travel was invented. But in the last few years, surprise mystery trips, booked just for you by specialty travel companies like ours have become even more popular.
After many of us had to put our travel plans on hold (Thanks, COVID 🙈), it’s no wonder people want to get out of the house without having to worry about all the details! But there is so much more to mystery trips than just packing your bags for destinations unknown.
These trips are about more than exploring new parts of the world. They’re about the thrill of allowing yourself to be completely adventurous, in all forms. Yep, not knowing where you’re going might stress some people out. And if that’s you… mystery trips can still be fun!
In this fast-paced world where so many of us tend to plan our days and schedules down to the minute, there’s practically nothing left to mystery anymore. And in my book, that can start to feel monotonous and somewhat boring.

Why You Should Take A Mystery Trip
I took my first mystery trip with 5 of my girlfriends when I was in my early fifties. Yep, I had 5 decades under my belt before I discovered the magic of taking a trip into the unknown!
And I haven’t looked back since. That first trip was an awe-inspiring glance into what can happen in life when you simply let go.
The first World Mystery Trip was intended to be a getaway within the United States. I curated a trip to Miami. While in the process, I discovered we could cruise to the Bahamas for less than it cost to stay, eat, and play in Miami. From then on, each trip has been to an International destination.
Since then, more and more people have heard about mystery trips and — after hearing how much my friends and family loved them — have asked me to plan them!
World Mystery Trips has grown into a globe-trotting service that specializes in life-changing experiences. I’m in awe and humbled at the amazing trips I’ve been able to plan, and I curate every adventure with thoughtful details I would want for myself.
What to Expect on Your Mystery Trip
When you join a World Mystery Trip the destination is a… MYSTERY. In most cases you meet at the airport, participate in the reveal, check in at the ticket counter, go through security, buy a bag of Peanut M&M's, board the plane, buckle up, say your prayers and wave bye-bye!
The entire nature of World Mystery Trips is to embrace the experience, possibly step outside your comfort zone, have a life-changing experience, rinse and repeat.

Italy 2018 Itinerary
May 1: Overnight Flight from DIA to London; change planes from London to Rome
May 2: Ease into Rome and do whatever we want
May 3: Walking tour of Rome; all the amazing, must-see places
May 4: Free day (catacombs if you desire!)
May 5: Train to Pompeii and private driver to Salerno, ferry to Positano (weather permitting). Return to Rome
May 6: Free day in Rome
May 7-9: Train to Venice
May 9: Train to Florence, Pisa, then stay in Siena.
May 10: Explore Siena, train to hotel in Rome by the airport.
May 11: Fly home.
There is a non-refundable deposit of $250 required in order for us to do the work of researching, booking, and handling your mystery trip. After you pay the deposit and fill out the questionnaire we will get to work planning your mystery trip! Once we find your trip, we will send you an invoice for the trip total, as well as any follow-up questions, like passport information, full names and dates of birth, etc.
