RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT.
If client is obtaining a quote for and/or securing or procuring travel for more than just yourself, all references below to “I” (and derivations thereof, including without limitation “my” and “me”) shall be read to mean you on behalf of yourself and each individual within your group for whom you are obtaining a quote and/or securing or procuring travel.
I understand that World Mystery Trips (hereinafter "WMT") is not the source or supplier of the travel services I have requested, and acts solely as an agent for the actual suppliers of such services. I have been advised that the suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to me are those who are actually responsible for providing the travel services I have purchased. I consent to and request the use of those suppliers and agree not to hold WMT responsible should any of these suppliers: 1) fail to provide the travel services I have purchased; 2) fail to comply with any applicable law; or 3) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes me any sort of injury, damage, delay or inconvenience.
I accept that WMT is not responsible for, nor will I attempt to hold it liable for, any injury, damage or loss I may suffer on account of any conditions, actions or omissions that are beyond its reasonable control. Excepting only liability that directly arises from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of WMT, I will not hold it responsible for any injury, damage or loss I may suffer while on any third party provided or operated excursion or activity.
I will review my travel documents for accuracy upon receipt and understand that I may contact WMT if I have any questions. I understand that it is my responsibility to review the accuracy of all details in the travel quotations provided to me and to confirm the same to WMT.
I understand that all reservation fares typically involve restrictions (including, but not limited to, restrictions related to cancellation) and that changing any aspect of my travel arrangements may result in the payment of additional money.
I understand that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires me to carry a government issued identification card in order to board a flight. I have been advised that the name, date of birth and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on my airline ticket and in my booking records. I acknowledge that my failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing me to miss my flight.
I understand that if traveling internationally, I must have a valid passport and depending upon my destination and nationality, I may need to obtain one or more visas.
WMT has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of travel service providers selected for your tour, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, WMT recommends contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at 1-888-407-4747 or www.travel.state.gov. For medical information, WMT recommends contacting the Centers for Disease Control at 1-800-232-4636 or www.cdc.gov/travel.
I assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of my destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).
I understand that I may purchase travel insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy and the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency.
I agree that, where WMT has identified the same in a written communication to me (including via email), a deposit may be required and/or certain itinerary planning charges may be imposed. By way of example only, WMT typically charges a $250 deposit for itinerary searching services, which will be credited back to you as a resort or cruise credit if the trip is ultimately booked. If the trip is not booked, or if a booked trip is canceled, the deposit would be forfeit and would become compensation to WMT for the work associated with the searching, planning and communication activities. Custom itinerary planning fees may be charged for multi-destination trips and trips that include coordination of multiple modes of transportation (e.g., flights, trains, ground transfers, etc.). Additional dining reservations, or changes to already confirmed dining reservations will result in a $25 per change fee. With the exception of the immediately previous sentence regarding dining reservations and changes to the same, all other charges will be imposed only if advised in writing (including via email) by WMT.
I agree to exhibit best behavior at all times, to not engage in inflammatory or negative behavior; to be the best advocate for our countries and to abide by all laws and customs of the countries we visit. Should I violate these terms, I understand that I will be released from participation with our travel group at any time of the duration of our trip, domestically and or internationally, and will be responsible for all costs incurred before, during and after.
I acknowledge and agree that any deposit, payments rendered towards the trip, as well as the full trip payment, are strictly non-refundable.
I further acknowledge and understand that in the event of my decision not to travel, for any reason whatsoever, or in the event that my travel documents are found to be inadequate or incomplete, including but not limited to an invalid passport or failure to meet Covid or other vaccination requirements, no refunds shall be issued after flight tickets are purchased, regardless of the cancellation policy of the supplier.
I am aware that World Mystery Trips strongly advises the procurement of travel insurance and hereby acknowledge that it is my sole responsibility to acquire such coverage. In the event of trip cancellation, travel insurance stands as the exclusive avenue for potential refund, subject to the successful filing of a claim and is done by the traveler with their personal insurance, separate from World Mystery Trips.

At World Mystery Trips, our goal is to offer exceptional experiences without breaking the bank. Trips with approximate dates allow us to carefully monitor flight prices and make a move when they're just right! Flexibility with dates from your end helps us secure the best deal for you. Typically, you can anticipate receiving confirmed dates for your trip between 4 to 8 months beforehand, although this may vary slightly. We promise to give you ample time to plan accordingly.
-
Certainly! If you're considering switching to a different trip, there's a $50 change fee, provided flights haven't been booked yet. Once flights are confirmed, we won't be able to transfer your deposit to another trip.
-
While you'll receive flight information early on, you can count on getting your comprehensive itinerary about a month before your departure date. This will include details about your accommodations, any booked tours, and suggestions for activities at your destination.
-
Our trips are non-refundable. In cases where you're unable to make the trip, we strongly advise filing a claim with your travel insurance. Many travelers have successfully sought reimbursement for unexpected circumstances through their insurance providers. Keep in mind that plans and coverage may vary, so please refer to your specific insurance policy for details on covered services.
-
We typically secure highly-rated 4-star hotels. Rooms are shared with another traveler from the group, unless you specifically request a private room. Please let us know if you prefer a private room when signing up for the trip, and we'll provide you with an estimated cost.
-
Not at all! We understand that everyone has their own travel style and preferences. Feel free to explore on your own and craft the trip of your dreams. Our itineraries are designed with flexibility in mind, so unless you've pre-booked a tour or excursion, you're under no obligation to follow a strict daily schedule.

On average, our trips usually consist of about 6 to 8 people, though this number can vary. We aim to keep the groups intimate and usually cap them at under 10 people.

Absolutely! Who wouldn't enjoy a bit of extra comfort on a long flight? We'll provide you with the prices for upgrade seats. While we initially book basic economy tickets, you can always opt for a higher tier ticket. If you decide to upgrade or change seats after the flight is booked, you'll need to make those arrangements directly with the airline.
-
Flights are booked from the specified departing airport listed for each trip. It's your responsibility to arrange your own transportation to that airport. We strongly recommend arriving in the departing city the day before and planning to stay an additional day after your trip to account for any potential flight delays or unforeseen circumstances. We suggest waiting to book your flights to the departing city until after you have received your flight confirmation from us.
-
Absolutely! For our known destinations, you'll receive a list of optional tours and excursions that you can add to your itinerary. As for Mystery Trips, we usually offer an optional city tour, though availability depends on the destination.
-
We can only modify tours and excursions before your final invoice is paid. After this point, we won't be able to refund or make changes to the tours or excursions you've added to your trip, even if the tour company has its own cancellation policy. If you cannot attend a tour while on your trip, we recommend reaching out to your travel insurance for reimbursement.
-
We're truly sorry to hear about your situation. In such cases, the best course of action would be to file a claim with your travel insurance provider to seek reimbursement.
