5 Stunning and Cheap Destinations to Visit This Year

Traveling doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, some of the most sought after destinations are surprisingly cheap!

Now that we have officially entered 2023, I hope you’re feeling inspired, motivated, and eager to fill your year with as much joy as you possibly can. I woke up the morning of the new year with a delicious cup of coffee, the warmth of my bed, and the laughter of my loved ones filling the house. It was in this exact moment I felt that everything this year is going to be okay. Actually, not just okay, but fabulous. There is something about the tranquility of the morning that always gets me day dreaming of the next destination for both my trippers and my personal vacations. While we cannot deny that traveling luxuriously is the ultimate desire, it’s not always possible in every destination. Sometimes, we have to pick and choose whether to splurge on the hotels or on the food, excursions, and activities in the destination. But what if you could have both? I’ve got great news for you! There are so may destinations where your money will stretch a little bit further, allowing yourself to live in comfort while not breaking the bank.

Turkey

From the unique architecture, rich history, incredible shopping, and lovely people, Turkey must be on your travel list this year. From scenic hot air balloons, to scrumptious traditional breakfasts, you will leave Turkey feeling so fulfilled. We recommend visiting the cities, but also getting off the beaten path to the serene beaches, giving yourself a much needed rest at an amazing price. If you’re craving comfort, check out some of the cave hotels for a bit of luxury without it costing an arm and leg. Oh! And don’t leave without visiting one of the Turkish baths, sending you into a truly blissful state before heading home.

Vietnam

Vietnam offers the most stunning landscapes, vibrant cities, and the most friendly people you may come across. Vietnam caters to tourists without compromising their own culture and values, which makes this such a special and authentic destination to spend a few weeks. Whether you’re craving the bustling city filled with motorbikes, or the tranquility of the mountains, Vietnam offers something to all.

Of course, we cannot forget the warming bowls of soup, fresh herbs, and enjoying a .10 cent cold beer while observing the busy streets of Hanoi. If you’re really feeling adventurous, rent a motorbike and head out of the city, winding the luscious green lined roads. This is a destination to truly experience the culture, the festivities, and traditions. Get to know the people in the villages and share a meal. Splurge on a 5 star hotel (which is actually a fraction of the price in the US), and support the small businesses. Bring home some hand tailored clothes you will remember forever.

Greece

A bucket list destination for most, Greece offers absolutely breathtaking views, charming architecture, fresh fish and mediterranean cuisine, and outstanding prices. It’s not hard to find an unbelievable deal at a hotel or rental house overlooking the water, with the perfect sunny balcony for your breakfast or evening wine lined with purple flowers and vines. In the less touristy areas of Greece, you can enjoy a romantic dinner on the sand complete with the freshest and most delicious greek delicacies while watching the sunset reflect onto the white buildings on the hill. It truly doesn’t get dreamier than this and we cannot recommend a getaway to Greece enough.

Nicaragua

Nicaragua attracts visitors from all over the world with their incredible coast lines, volcanoes, lush green forests, gorgeous cities, and abundant wildlife. It’s the perfect paradise for adventurers, but also a place that allows pure rejuvenation at a crazy low cost. In fact, many people go to visit, and end up planning their move. Home to some of the friendliest people, you’re sure to get the most culturally rich experience, with helpful locals ready to show you the way around. While visiting, don’t forget to indulge in the local cuisine and fresh fruit and partake in some exciting excursions such as diving or snorkeling. Aside from being much more affordable than the popular neighboring countries, it is also laid back, less crowded, warm, and extremely diverse in landscapes. Catch me on the next flight over.

Portugal

For those of your craving the typical European charm, delicious food, spectacular wine, and breathtaking beaches, Portugal is your destination. Did I mention that you can have all of this while eating drool worthy meals (including high quality meat and fish) for a price that will make you gasp? And I mean gasp in a good way. Whether you spend your days in the cities of Lisbon and Porto, or head south to Algarve, you will be absolutely surprised how cheap this perfectly charming country is. If you have time, think about renting a car and heading over to the south of Spain too in just about 2 hours.

These are just a few of our favorite cheap destinations for the upcoming year. However, there are SO many places to go that don’t require you to have an insane amount of money to spend. In addition to this, we are experts in finding the best deals. I repeat, traveling doesn’t have to be expensive. Let us show you the way! Fill out your questionnaire here!
